Grow up to be a environment friendly kid
If you really care about saving our mother Earth from various types of calamities that is the result of disastrous environmental pollution, then grow up to be a planet-friendly kid. Trust me, it would make a lot more sense when you can actually apply all your studies to this noble cause.

Environment

Your research on Aerosols sprays or global warming and deforestation for your school projects, can go a long way in helping you find a valid solution.. Discuss with your parents and friends about the harmful effects of Aerosols on the environment. It’s a serious issue that you kids need to think about.

Try to use glass bottles and hand towels instead of disposable plastic bottles and tissue papers (especially with school lunches or picnics), the earlier you understand what is good for you and the environment, the better.

Don’t pluck flowers or leaves from your gardens or anywhere else. It’s about time you show some feelings towards the plant life cycle. Encourage other people against destruction of nature.

Try to set up a kitchen garden with the help of your parents. It’s not only a fun activity, but also a very healthy practice that will ensure you all the nutrients you need in your food. Use the peels and tea leaves for the nourishment of the plants too. You can also participate in campaigns for planting trees around the city to spread awareness among the entire community.

If your family is one that decorates a Christmas tree every year, consider a good quality plastic tree or fiber. A better idea is to plant a tree in your garden and enjoy the decoration with everyone around including your neighbors, right at the garden. The idea can also be extended to a potted plant.

Awareness

Awareness is the key to all type of solutions.

• Help your parents save on electricity bills; turn off the lights, fans, and other appliances when they are not required.

• The same rule applies to saving water as well. Turn off the taps while you are brushing your teeth.

•  Reserve the showers for special occasions go with tub baths if possible.

• Never litter around. Always throw the waste in a bin.

•  It’s not only dust pollution but also noise that can be really harmful especially for the senior citizens. So please don’t ignore them        

That’s how you will set an example for others to follow rather than waiting for someone else to start.

Go crafty

Start making your own handmade articles like key chains, writing books, wastepaper bin, bags, jewelry with materials available at home like safety pins, magnets, felt pens, old handkerchief etc (you can also refer to the crafts section in our site for more information). They are just to name a few of the articles that will be loads of fun to make and also encourage your friends to be more like you. So you will not only earn respect in your friend circle but also earn appreciation from your parents too. Isn’t that great?! (Adult supervision is required)

Fun and games

Don’t remain glued to the TV set at the first opportunity you get. Instead, get some fresh air; indulge yourself in outdoor games that will not only keep you fit but also active throughout the day. But make sure you don’t overdo it too much to make you fall asleep during your study hours. Believe me, you don’t want to stay behind your class. Learn to balance study and fun to make your life brighter.

Journal

Keep a track of all your efforts towards a better environment in a journal or a colorful scrapbook with beautiful pictures and images. Include your friends too in the activity to make it a community effort. The best thing is, It would also add to your popularity!

Unite to save the valuable species from going extinct. Campaigning for the ‘Tiger Project’ is a wonderful idea. Think about it.
