After years of unrest, it was now time to place a just ruler on the throne of Lanka. The head priests recited hymns as Rama placed the jewelled crown on Vibhisana's head . Sugreeva, Laxmana, and Hanuman looked on as the people of Lanka cheered for their new king, Vibhisana received many gifts during the coronation, but he gave them all to Rama as a token of appreciation.
