Having run from his hotel to the pier in five minutes, Het Ram took another fifteen minutes to reach the lighthouse. The lighthouse is only twice as far from the hotel as the pier. What explanation is there for this, in view of the fact that Het Ram ran without pause, at the same constant pace and never deviated from the straight beach?
