NON-STOP RUN, BUT NO FUN
Q. Het Ram is an earned-boy employed recently at Hotel Bharat. One day he had to go to a pier, collect a packet and run back to the lighthouse. The manager timed his run to and fro. Having run from his hotel to the pier in five minutes, Het Ram took another fifteen minutes to reach the lighthouse. The lighthouse is only twice as far from the hotel as the pier. What explanation is there for this, in view of the fact that Het Ram ran without pause, at the same constant pace and never deviated from the straight beach?A. The pier and the lighthouse are on opposite sides of the hotel.
