ISC Class 12 Accounts papers that tell you which mistake you keep making

Full papers, eighty marks, three hours, written to the CISCE syllabus β€” including the places where it stops, which are not where CBSE stops. Every wrong figure is named, and the naming carries across papers, so a habit shows up as a habit.

Three full papers, free, on a free account

Signing up takes an email address and a password. No card, no payment page, nothing to cancel. What it opens is one complete paper at each of the three levels you will meet:

ISC Class 12

  • ISC (CISCE) Class 12 Accounts
  • 80 marks, 3 hours
  • Plus 20 marks of project work, assessed separately

One complete sitting

CA Foundation

  • CA Foundation Paper 1: Accounting
  • 100 marks, 3 hours

One complete sitting

CSEET

  • CSEET Paper 2: Fundamentals of Accounting
  • 100 marks, 3 hours

One complete sitting

Each one is complete: every question, a named finding against every wrong figure, and the full worked solution after you submit. Not samples with the answers held back.

What “diagnosis” means here

Take a question the CISCE syllabus names as a topic of its own. A partner retires on 30th September, the firm closing on 31st March, and his share of the year’s profit has to be worked out to the date he left.

A student who gives him his full year’s share has not been careless. He has made one particular mistake — charged a whole year where only part of it was his — and he will make it again on the next question of that shape, which may not be a partnership question at all. The same habit produces a full year’s depreciation on a machine bought in October, and a full year’s interest on capital introduced in December.

That is the point. The report does not say you are weak on partnership. It says you took this 4 of the 5 times you met it, counting every place in the paper where the question turned on a part year, whichever chapter it came from. Four in five is a habit. Once in five is a slip. A list of wrong answers cannot tell those apart.

What your account keeps, and what it does not

A rate taken from one paper is a small number. Taken across six papers it becomes something you can act on, so your account keeps the count: which habit, how many times the papers gave you the chance, how many times you took it.

What it does not keep is the paper. The figures you typed are marked in your own browser and then thrown away. Your account holds the diagnosis, not the transcript, which is both all the counting needs and almost nothing worth stealing.

It is yours and it is private. No teacher, no school and no other student can see it, there is no leaderboard and no rank, and nothing is shown to anyone who has not signed in as you. You can wipe the whole history from inside your account whenever you like, and the papers go on working exactly as before.

Why the CA Foundation and CSEET papers come with it

Because at Class 12 they stop being a different subject. Partnership and company accounts are Section A of your ISC paper and they are Chapters 10 and 11 of CA Foundation Paper 1 — the same reconstitutions of a partnership, the same share capital and debentures. What changes between them is calibration: more steps folded into one question, less room to work, and a hundred marks instead of eighty.

So sitting the three in order is not three subjects. It is the same ground at rising pressure, and because the error vocabulary is identical throughout, the count follows you from one to the next.

Finish the ISC paper and the entrance papers are your next gear, whether or not you sit those examinations.

Why the worked solution cannot contradict the paper

On most sites the question is typed, and then the solution is typed separately. Nothing holds the two together, and a wrong solution in a practice paper teaches the error it was meant to catch.

Here the paper and its solution come out of one computation. The build refuses to publish a paper whose Realisation Account does not close, whose partners’ capital accounts do not agree with the Balance Sheet that follows them, or where a figure set as a trap turns out to equal the correct answer it was meant to catch.

The solution stays shut until you submit. Reading the working before attempting the sum is the commonest way to feel ready in October and lose the marks in February.

Written to the CISCE syllabus, not a generic one

At Class 12 the two boards diverge inside the chapters, not between them, which is harder to notice and more expensive. ISC names retirement during the accounting year as a topic of its own, and leaves admission during an accounting year out. Generic material drills mid-year admission sums you will not be set, and under-weights the mid-year retirement you will be.

The same is true further down. The CISCE syllabus leaves out the memorandum revaluation account, joint life policy, piecemeal distribution and a partner’s insolvency; on the company side it leaves out bonus and rights issues, sweat equity and employee stock options. Its cash flow statement is set for manufacturing companies, and ratio analysis stands as a unit in its own right rather than being folded into the analysis of financial statements.

Every paper here follows one syllabus — its sections, its weights, its exclusions and its wording.

ISC Class 12 Accounts is an 80-mark paper of three hours with 20 marks of project work beside it. Section A is partnership and joint stock company accounts; Section B is financial statement analysis, cash flow for manufacturing companies, and ratio analysis.

The rest of the catalogue, and what it costs

Three free papers are three sittings. The catalogue holds the rest, across all three syllabuses, every paper diagnosing figure by figure in the same vocabulary β€” which is what lets the count carry from your first paper to your last.

Inside your account every paper is listed by name, so the whole scope is visible before you decide anything. The ones you have not bought are greyed:

Each paper is a full sitting, written to one syllabus, with its own worked solution β€” and the diagnosis counts across all of them together.

β‚Ή999 for a year opens the ISC route entire: ISC Class 12 Accounts, CA Foundation Paper 1 and CSEET Paper 2. One payment, one year, nothing taken again automatically.

Payment is handled by RKG Software. The papers and your account remain here on KidsGen.

What these papers do not do

They mark the numerical working and the classification of errors. They do not mark short written answers — explaining a convention, stating what an account may be used for — and the ISC paper does ask for those. Nor do they stand in for the 20 marks of project work, which is a separate piece of your result.

We make no claim about ranks, scores or results, and we are not affiliated with the CISCE, ICAI or ICSI. Each paper says which published syllabus it follows.

Questions

What does a free account actually open?

Three complete papers β€” one at ISC Class 12 level, one at CA Foundation level and one at CSEET level. Complete means a full sitting: every question, a named finding against every wrong figure, and the whole worked solution. They are not samples with the answers withheld.

What does my account remember about me?

The diagnosis and nothing else: which habit, how many chances the papers gave you, how many you took. Not the figures you typed, which are marked in your browser and discarded. It is private to you β€” no teacher, no school, no leaderboard β€” and you can wipe it from inside your account at any time.

Why does the count need to carry across papers?

Because one paper cannot tell a habit from a slip. If a question about a part year comes up twice in a paper and you miss both, that could be two bad minutes. Across six papers and fifteen chances it is a habit, and it is worth a morning. The number only becomes trustworthy with a denominator.

Does ISC really need its own paper?

Yes, and partnership is the clearest reason. The CISCE syllabus sets retirement during the accounting year and leaves admission during an accounting year out; CBSE covers reconstitution in full. A paper that ignores the difference spends your evenings on sums your examiner will not set.

What is in the paid catalogue that is not free?

The remaining full-length papers across all three syllabuses. What a subscription buys is access to the ISC route’s catalogue for twelve months, including anything added to it while that subscription is live.

Who publishes these?

KidsGen, a Kolkata publisher of school material. The papers follow the published CISCE, ICAI and ICSI syllabuses and are not issued by or connected with any of them.
